Jean-Christophe Novelli reveals eight-week-old son's cancer bombshell

JEAN-CHRISTOPHE Novelli has revealed his heartbreak as his eight-week-old son has been diagnosed with cancer.
The 55-year-old celebrity chef welcomed Valentino Louis in September with his fiancee Michelle Kennedy, 40.
However, just weeks later, the pair found a lump in the newborn’s neck, and doctors have diagnosed it as Neuroblastoma cancer.
His spokesman told Hello! magazine: “Jean-Christophe’s priority at this time is supporting his family as they deal with this devastating news, it is still very early days but they remain positive and believe the NHS experts are doing everything possible.
“Jean has had to postpone all his immediate work over the next two weeks to be with his baby and support his family but is grateful for the understanding and support during this very difficult time.”

The Cry Me A River singer's wife Luisana "thanked God" the little boy's scars healed soon after the accident.

She said at the time: "For a long time he has to use elastic bands pressed tight so he's not left with scars."

Noah's heartbreaking illness news comes just a day after Michael Bublé at the BBC was watched by millions across the UK.

During the show, the singer told host Claudia Winkleman he "just didn't know that level of love existed" when asked about his sons.

He said: "I just love them so much that part of loving them so much is not giving them everything they want and that is a tough thing for me."

Michael and Luisana have another son, Elias, who is 10 months old.

The crooner recently admitted his life changed after having kids with his Argentinian wife while on Desert Island Discs.

He described his boys as a "Petri dish of germs" and says his family stopped him being "reckless with hearts".

In another interview with Entertainment Tonight last month he said "it's hard to quantify the level of love" he has for his sons.

: "We love to be with our kids a lot. When we are out for one hour, we miss them."

Luisana added that she and Buble do not work at the same time, and that she goes everywhere with her children.

Today’s news about Noah comes the same day as Jean-Christophe Novelli revealed his eight-week-old son had also been diagnosed with cancer.

The 55-year-old celebrity chef found a lump on the newborn’s neck just weeks after welcoming him in September with his fiancee Michelle Kennedy, 40.

Rise in children being cured

AROUND 2,000 kids are diagnosed with cancer every year in the UK.

About a third have leukaemia, which is cancer of the white blood cells. It is most common at age three in boys and two in girls.
There are also several other cancers such as brain tumours and nephroblastoma of the kidney.
It’s obviously devastating for any family to have a child with cancer.
But modern treatments now mean that more children than ever can be cured and lead normal happy lives.
