Eamonn Holmes fires naughty innuendos at This Morning chef Rusty Lee in front of wife Ruth Langsford

The host of the daytime show didn't appear phased by his wife stood by his side as he launched into a series of cheeky jokes

EAMONN Holmes fired a series of naughty innuendos at This Morning chef Rusty Lee in front of his wife Ruth Langsford today.

The couple were watching on as Rusty created her 'firecracker soup' in time for Bonfire Night - and with a huge yam as the key ingredient, it brought out a very cheeky side in host Eamonn.

As Rusty held up the giant yam, Eamonn quickly took hold of it and joked: "That's a big one!"

Rusty quickly burst into hysterical laughter and it prompted a similar response from the audience.

Luckily, Ruth saw the funny side too, and laughed it off.

They later discussed how best to cook all the ingredients, and unable to resist one again, Eamonn said: "It’s always fine going in… It’s coming out.”

And one added: "Rusty Lee has got me in stitches. @thismorning her laugh is amazing."

While another joked: "@EamonnHolmes looked like Fred Flintstone with that yam."

It's not the first time the host has left fans in stitches with his sexual innuendos.

Just months ago, he let another funny comment slip as he interviewed a Canadian model who weight lifts his cat.

As the trio discussed how Travis came up with the idea, Ruth couldn’t help but ask if Travis was “looking for love” and when he confirmed he was single, she told him there were lots of women in England who would happily help him change his relationship status.

Travis admitted he had never been to England, and it prompted Eamonn to cheekily say: “I’m sure there are many people who would love for you to fondle their cat.”
