The dancer set aside the competition to raise the cash with other favourites from the BBC programme Anton Du Beke, Brendan Cole, Ore Oduba and Aljaz Skorjanec at London’s Covent Garden.

All the group were in high spirits as they danced around the central London location.

Even some of the heroes couldn't help but showcase their moves.

Former shadow chancellor Ed Balls donned a box full of the red flowers around his neck as he rallied up the troops.

Balls grinned wildly next to his stunning dance partner from the TV show Katya Jones, who he almost dropped during a bumpy American Smooth just two weeks ago.

Despite his terrible dancing the Labour politician has been branded the “most fun” of all his competitors by judge Len Goodman, who was also selling poppies.
