The Apprentice leaves viewers crying with laughter as hapless contestants spell the word ‘gilet’ wrong

THE Apprentice fans have branded this year’s contestants the “worst in the show’s history” as an epic spelling mistake left viewers crying with laughter.

Contestant Trishna Thakrar was behind the error as her team misspelled the word ‘gilet’ with disastrous consequences.

The two teams were asked attempting to secure crowdfunding for cycling accessories during this week’s task.

Trishna and the rest of her team based themselves at London’s Waterloo station in a bid to win over the public, but their spelling proved to be a major let down.

The word ‘gilet’ was spelled ‘gillet’ in their promotional materials, and Alan Sugar’s right-hand man Claude Littner felt the need to step in.

He pointed out the error to Trishna, much to the delight of viewers at home.

They flocked to social media to poke fun at Trishna and her team, branding them the show’s worst ever contestants.

Many pointed out that Lord Sugar should seriously reconsider investing in any candidate who can make such a major blooper.

One tweeted: “How the hell can you be incapable of spelling the word gilet?!… #TheApprentice.”

Another added: “Jesus H… Hopeless, the lot of them are genuinely hopeless! #TheApprentice

#bbcapprentice.”

In a post on twitter, one added: “So these are meant to be the country’s brightest business people, yet they cant spell the product they are selling! #Gilet#TheApprentice.”

Many were left crying with laughter over the incident, with one stating: “Omg crying at the fact the people on the apprentice can’t spell gilet.”

Another wrote: “Genuinely, #TheApprentice this year has the WORST candidates in the show’s history. No one deserves an investment.genuinely hopeless…”

One other viewer bemoaned the intelligence of the candidates, writing: “If only there was SOME WAY of looking up how to spell ‘gilet’. Nope? Oh well. #TheApprentice  Now look up ‘morons’. Sorry, morrons.”
