How did Ruth Wilson become an actress?
She starred in sitcom Suburban Shootdown alongside Tom Hiddleston in 2006 before finding fame in BBC's Jane Eyre also in 2006.
She was nominated for a Bafta, Golden globe and Satellite Award for her portrayal of the heroine.
She has also tread the boards in a number of plays including A Streetcar Named Desire and Eugene O'Neill's Anna Christie with Jude Law.
Since then Ruth has starred in Luther as Alice Morgan, and she has been playing the role of Alison Bailey on The Affair for which she won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress last year.
