The birds are in Tangier to search for Travis (Charlie Quirke) who has gone missing on his gap year.

Strictly star Lesley couldn’t contain her excitement at the silver fox being on the Christmas special and tweeted a pic of him saying: “Martin Kemp is back with the girls for the Christmas Special in Malta as Vince! #BOAF”

She then wrote: “It's true! Martin Kemp will be starring in the Christmas Special of Birds as Vince, again! #BOAF”

In our snaps, Lesley can be seen in one gazing adoringly at Martin, and in another he joins all the girls for a pic.

His performance on the show in January was a big hit and saw him getting up to no good with maneater Dorien in the back of hearse.

Talking of the comedy sex scene, he said at the time: “It was one of the funniest things I’ve done in ages.”

He also revealed he has known two of the leading ladies for a while: “I went to drama school with Linda and Pauline, so being on Birds of a Feather felt like a little reunion.

“They asked me to do it – and anything that makes me laugh out loud when I read it is a no-brainer.”

The ex-EastEnders star added: “We had such a great time filming.

"There were moments it felt like we were doing Steptoe and Son, it was that kind of seaside humour we all love.

"It’s such a relief to go home laughing at the end of the day.”

He added: “It’s a British institution – even bigger than the first time around.”

Lesley said: “Martin is the nation’s heart-throb.

"When he appeared in episode one, the whole of the female audience swooned.”

Birds Of A Feather ran on BBC1 for nine years until 1998, and was revived by ITV last year and went onto become the channel’s biggest comedy hit in over a decade as the opening episode pulled in 7.8million viewers.
