AMANDA Holden has backed Alan Carr to replace David Walliams on Britain’s Got Talent after he quit.
The Sun revealed in November that David would step down after a decade judging on the ITV show alongside Amanda.
Alan quickly emerged as the runaway favourite among bosses - including Simon - to take his spot.
He is currently on the telly with his good pal Amanda in their DIY show The Italian Job, and while promoting the series she was quizzed on the latest BGT line-up rumours.
The One Show hosts Alex Jones and Ronan Keating took the opportunity to grill her on Friday's show.
Ronan said: "Now, there are lots of rumours at the moment about Britain’s Got Talent, who’s gonna fill the seat. Will it be Alan?"

"Well, watch this space," Amanda said. "There’s the top line."
The former actress got excited and laughed, as if she knew the answer but couldn't say.
"I was really contained and found my filter. I was really good, but watch this space!" she teased again.
Amanda continued: "It’s a good idea, we’ll miss David, but it’s a good idea," and Alex echoed that Alan would be an "amazing" judge.
