Ryan Thomas whisked his stunning new lover half-way across the globe – to watch him sign autographs at a Corrie conference
Actor quit his role as Jason Grimshaw earlier this year to try and make it in Hollywood
ROMANTIC Ryan Thomas whisked his stunning new lover half-way across the globe – to watch him sign autographs at a Corrie conference.
The actor, who walked away from the cobbles after 16 years in June, flew to Canada to host a Coronation Street-themed bash in Toronto.
He spoke about his time in Weatherfield to an audience of super-fans and posed for pics and signed his moniker for the excited Canadian Corrie devotees.
Throughout it all, new girlfriend Brea Taddei was at his side for the whistle-stop engagement.
The 32-year-old, who played hapless builder Jason Grimshaw in the soap, has been dating Manchester Topshop worker Brea since September.
They got together within a week of his seven-month relationship with Edinburgh-based marketing executive Lana Martin coming to an end.
The romance fizzled out as the couple struggled to see each other after he relocated to London to find work and she stayed in Scotland.

A source exclusively told The Sun at the time: "Ryan and Lana really tried hard to find time for each other, but they both lead busy lives and became more and more distanced from each other – literally.
“It’s a shame but it’s totally amicable. Lana was there to help him adjust to life after Corrie.
“He’ll always be grateful for that.”
Ryan has made no secret of his desire to make it big in Hollywood – but so far his gig in Toronto is the nearest he’s come to cracking North America.
When he quit the Street, he revealed: “Going to Hollywood is a dream so I’m going to see what happens. We can always dream.”
While a big budget movie or hit TV series still alludes him across the pond, Ryan has seemed to be enjoying his time in Canada, posting a series of snaps of him in the city.
Alongside one he wrote: "...Spot the tourist? #whattodoincanada #help #notaclue" while another saw him posing next to an iconic yellow school bus.
He wrote beside it: "Just because you're wearing a @boohoomanofficial coat Ryan, doesn't mean you model for them! 😂 #boohoomodelwannabe".
