Cheryl further fuels pregnancy speculation as she fails to attend Pride Of Britain awards
CHERYL spoke out about her absence at the Pride Of Britain awards on Monday night as best friend Kimberley Walsh appeared to confirm the news that she is expecting her first child.
The former X Factor judge usually attends the annual awards show but was a noticeable no-show on the night, as she continues to keep an extremely low profile amidst pregnancy claims.
Cheryl, 33, was nowhere to be seen on the red carpet before she tweeted: “Gutted I couldn’t make the #prideofbritain awards tonight. One of my favourite awards! Good luck to all the nominees, you’re all amazing.”
Meanwhile her former Girls Aloud bandmate, Kimberley Walsh once again appeared to confirm the news that Cheryl is expecting her first child with Liam Payne on the red carpet of the annual event.
Speaking to, who host the awards bash, Kimberley said: “It’s not that I’m not allowed [to talk about it]. It’s just that she’s my best friend. I don’t want to talk about her … anyway.”
When the reporter asked her to pass on their congratulations to Cheryl, she said: “Thank you.”
Kimberley’s comments comes after she said she’s “really happy” for her close pal.
The speculation surrounding Cheryl's pregnancy went into overdrive last week when we exclusively revealed unseen shots of the star with what looked like a very sizeable bump.
Former One Direction hunk Liam, 23, added fuel to the fire when he hinted that he's set to wed Cheryl and then sent fans into a meltdown with explicit lyrics about her in his first solo song.
Cheryl and Liam have yet to respond to rumours they're expecting their first child together after going public with their relationship in May.
