Pregnant Stacey Dooley’s fans rush to defend her as she’s mum-shamed in row over baby equipment
PREGNANT Stacey Dooley fans have rushed to defend her after she was cruelly mum-shamed.
The TV star and her boyfriend Kevin Clifton are currently expecting their first child together - and have been busy nesting ahead of the birth of their baby.
Stacey, 35, has been keeping her Instagram fans up to date with her birth, and the prep for her first child.
This week, the documentary maker detailed which equipment she was yet to buy for her newborn, due any day now.
The Strictly winner, who has been dating Kevin, 40, since their time on the show, said she was looking to buy a steriliser.
The sterilising equipment is marketed as killing bacteria on baby bottles and feeding equipment by using boiling water.

However, despite wanting to be all kitted out for the baby, some cruel commenters hit out that she "didn't need" it.
Many called out that she "shouldn't buy one" if she was planning on breastfeeding her first child.
"My penultimate day of work before the baby comes," Stacey wrote. "I haven't got a steriliser yet, but I have got this completely impractical bag for expectant mothers..."
"Breastfeeding doesn’t require sterilisers," one penned, as another added: "You don't need one, use the stove."

A third added: "If you’re breastfeeding you won’t need a steriliser… problem solved!"
But her fans hit back, with one saying: "Don't feel any pressure to feed your baby any other way than how you feel most comfortable Stacey. You're going to be great."
Another added: "I am sure she knows exactly what she’s doing and has done her research (this is her job after all!)"
"It’s not for anyone to surmise, pass judgement or tell her what she should or should not be doing," said a third.
A fourth said: "How about normalising women have a choice how they feed! Some women, like me, can't breastfeed."
