Girls Aloud reunite and celebrate fundraising milestone for late star Sarah Harding
GIRLS Aloud score another hit after raising £1million for charity in the name of their late bandmate Sarah Harding.
Sarah, who achieved 21 top ten singles including four No1’s with the group, died aged 39 last September following a breast cancer diagnosis.
Nicola Roberts, 37, revealed the news as she shared photographs with her bandmates Cheryl Tweedy, 39, Kimberley Walsh, 41, and Nadine Coyle, also 37, at the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special.
The singer shared a picture of the group backstage at the BBC with the caption: “When your girls bring you so much Christmas love.
“So nice to have them in the audience at Strictly to support me.
“We’re ending our year with so much gratitude in our hearts as we’ve managed to raise over one million pounds for research into breast cancer - as requested of us by our Electric Girl Sarah.”

She added: “We think of you and miss you every day Sarah.”
Nicola was beaten to the Strictly Silver Star trophy by former Coronation Street actress Alexandra Mardell.
Alexandra scored a perfect 40 with her pro partner Kai Widdrington as they danced a quickstep to Sleigh Ride by the Ronettes.
Hosted by Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, and keeping an eagle eye on every festive footstep are the judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke, and head judge, Shirley Ballas.
The Christmas special started with a sensational group routine to a festive medley of Let It Snow, The Nutcracker Suite and Santa Claus is Coming to Town, featuring the celebrities and their professional partners. Each couple then took to the dance floor to perform their individual seasonal routines.
Once all couples had danced, the studio audience voted for their favourite and their votes were combined with the judges' scores to decide the winner.
Tess and Claudia announced Alexandra and Kai as the Christmas champions before presenting them with the sought-after Strictly Silver Star trophy.
The final sprinkling of glitter was a special musical performance from the one and only, former Strictly Come Dancing judge, Bruno Tonioli.
