Inside Carol Vorderman and Michelle Mone’s bitter fallout after ex-Countdown host admits ‘dropping her like a stone’
CAROL Vorderman secretly fell out with her former good friend Michelle Mone years before blasting the scandal-hit lingerie tycoon online.
The popular TV presenter has been praised for repeatedly calling out under-fire Michelle in recent months.
The glamorous pair used to be close, regularly having "great fun" on nights out together before Michelle married billionaire Doug Barrowman.
The Sun previously revealed Carol dropped Michelle as a pal "some time ago" and since then the pair have had no contact.
She has taken a strong stance on allegations the Conservative pee made millions out of a government contract she was linked to during Covid.
The ex-Countdown host has even claimed her former friend should be "slammed in jail where she belongs".

Carol has since lashed out at Michelle and reignited their feud by goading her while on ITV's This Morning.
Carol provoked her ex-pal by revealing the reason behind their fallout, adding: "Sue me, Michelle."
She told This Morning: "I cannot talk about useless PPE without also talking about Michelle Mone who was brought into the House of Lords, as a baroness, by David Cameron.
"We know she has taken leave of absence without losing the Tory whip to start with because she was actively involved, as it goes, with a company called PPE Medpro."

Carol then admitted her connection to Michelle - with a vicious take-down of her former close pal.
She said: "Now Michelle Mone, I knew, many years ago and then dropped her like a stone as soon as I realised what kind of person she was."
Carol then turned to look at the camera directly, holding both hands up, as she strongly added: "Sue me, Michelle."
Michelle is accused of "extraordinarily aggressive" lobbying to award PPE Medpro the £200million contract to produce medical gowns and face masks during the pandemic.
The businesswoman denies that she or her husband profited from the contracts.
Carol and Michelle haven't been pictured together since 2012, with insiders revealing Carol was the one to end their friendship.
Sources insisted at the time: "There was no bitter bust up or rows between them.
"Carol just decided not to continue the friendship over ten years ago."
But her outburst on This Morning proved that wasn't the case.
Carol has shown dogged determination to call out allegations against Michelle in a series of posts on Twitter, saying: "Lady' Mone broke Lords' code & was seemingly involved in fraud while nurses & doctors slaved all hours to save people in the 1st lockdown.
"She denied any involvement but her husband got £65m profit & she £29m. If so, slam them in jail where they belong."
In another tweet she said: "After £221m PPE contracts, Michelle Mone threatened Hancock that if a 2nd company she was 'helping' to get a flow test contract for wasn't allowed to "get in the game" the awarding would seem 'corrupt' & she'd "blow this all wide open" Where do we start??"
Carol added: "Michelle Mone… Today While nurses strike for the first time in their history, reports Mone and her husband flew in the private jet bought after PPE Medpro contracts, to the Alps for a holiday to stay in £6,000 a night hotel Words fail me. You?"
The exchange is in stark contrast to when Michelle told how Carol was helping her move on from her divorce from Michael Mone.
She said back in 2012: "Every day, I'm getting stronger and I've learned a lot.
"I used to do everything with my husband, so I've had to start all over again, creating a whole new social life at 40.
"I spend a lot of time with my girlfriends - I have great fun with Carol Vorderman - and I have discovered a passion for karaoke."
Michelle also welcomed Carol to Twitter, where she now has more than 500,000 followers.
"Please follow my good friend Carol Vorderman," she said.
"The sexy woman is new to Twitter so say hi! Mx."
The online message is in stark contrast to recent posts shared.
Carol has been applauded by fans for sending more than ten tweets targeting Michelle over the PPE contract claims.
Some even suggested there's more to their fallout, with one joking: "I reckon Michelle Mone must've beaten Carol Vorderman to the rear of the year at some point. Vorders ain't half gaun tae town about Mone and this PPE scandal and quite rightly so."
Another said: "I am not mad at it, but can anyone explain the beef that Carol Vorderman has with Michelle Mone?"
Someone else added: "Carol Vorderman is out for murder with Michelle Mone and I love to see it."

Michelle had the Tory whip removed this month after saying she was taking a leave of absence from the House of Lords to "clear her name".
