Who is Molly Rainford’s famous dad?

Molly is the daughter of former Chelmsford City FC midfielder and assistant manager, Dave Rainford.

Dave started at Colchester United and returned to the team during his senior career in 1997.

He also played for Slough Town, Heybridge Swifts, Bishop’s Stortford and AFC Hornchurch.

From 2012 to 2013, he was assistant manager for Chelmsford City after joining the team in 2008.

Rainford became known for being the only semi-professional player in the Football League during the 2007 to 2008 season.

Whilst he was at Chelmsford City, he scored a total of 53 goals from 168 appearances.

Who is Molly Rainford’s mum?

Not much is publically known about Molly’s mother Sarah.

However, she makes it clear on her social media how proud she is of her two children.

Her Instagram is largely dedicated to her children who have both forged successful careers.

Sarah posted a heartfelt Instagram post when Molly celebrated her 21st birthday in November 2021.

She wrote: “Happy 21st birthday to my beautiful girl you are the most adorable sweetest young lady. I couldn’t be any prouder of you. Love you so much @mollyrainford”. 

Does Molly have any siblings?

Molly has an older brother called Billy, who is a stylist based in London.

Strictly fans were over the moon when they spotted Billy in the audience on November 26, as he finally made it to watch Molly perform.

One person tweeted: “Molly’s brother, well hellooo#Strictly.”

How did Molly Rainford become famous?

Molly Rainford was a finalist on the sixth series of Britain’s Got Talent in 2012.

She became the show’s youngest-ever finalist at the time, at age 11 performing Ave Maria in the final and finishing sixth.

Following BGT, Rainford received a scholarship at the Sylvia Young Theatre School, which was the first ever drama school scholarship to be gifted by Simon Cowell and Sony Music.

After finishing school, she went on to star in the lead role in CBBC series Nova Jones and released two EPs, including her single Commitment.
