Strictly’s Claudia Fragapane and Laura Whitmore rise to the top of the leaderboard on Halloween Week
Meanwhile Ed and Katya and Anastacia and Brendan sit at the bottom with 26 and 25 respectively
CLAUDIA Fragapane and Laura Whitmore won the top spots on the leaderboard after providing spooktacular performances on tonight's Strictly.
Olympic gymnast Claudia and partner AJ wowed the judges with their American smooth to ‘Black Magic’ by Little Mix.
The tiny pair scored a whopping 36 after managing to get four 9s from the judges.
Craig Revel Horwood called the dance "dramatic" while Darcey Bussell complimented her "beautifully smooth transitions". Len Goodman also described it as "spell binding".
Laura certainly came back with a bang after performing an amazing tango to 'Paint It Black' with partner Giovanni.
The 31-year-old telly presenter teared up up scoring an astounding 36 and Craig describing it as "a-ma-zing".
She was forced to pull out of Strictly Come Dancing last week after injuring her ligaments and being warned she would risk permanent damage if she performed.
Louise and Kevin scored 35 after nabbing an 8 and three 9s from the judges for their Charleston to Crazy in Love. Len Goodman praised their routine for being "absolutely spot on" while Bruno Tonioli described their Pop Art-inspired routine as "unusual" but "danced so well".
Judge Rinder and Oksana were largely praised by the judges (even Craig) and managed to get their highest score of 32 after getting four 8s.
Bruno was the most critical of the four judges and while he admitted that there was "a lot of paso" he said that he had a tendency to "lose shaping". The judge added, grinning: "You can drag."
Meanwhile Craig was clearly won over as he described it as the "darkest, strongest" they'd seen him.

The judges were much more critical of Anastacia and Brendan's jive to 'Bat out of Hell', which Craig scored a dismal 4 and an overall score of 25.
A series of mistakes also saw Strictly heavyweights Danny and Oti score a slightly disappointing 30 after three 7s and an 8, with Craig lamenting that it "could have been a 10". Darcey did, however, say that it was "terrific even with those mistakes".
After their foxtrot Danny was heard apologising to Oti before sadly telling Tess that "it didn't go to plan".
Ore and Joanne, meanwhile, split the judges with their Charleston to 'I Want Candy’ and managed a score of 32.
Craig criticised the dance for being "completely out of time" but said that the characterisation was "absolutely brilliant" and scored it a 6. Len and Bruno completely disagreed and gave it a 9 while Darcey scored it an 8.
Greg and Natalie disappointed most of the judges after dancing their rumba to ‘Bring Me to Life’ by Evanescence, scoring a 4 from Craig and ending up with a dismal 26.
Daisy and Aljaz's paso doble to ‘Please Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood ’ pleased the judges, with Bruno saying that it had the "flavour of Spain".
The pair scored an impressive 33 after an 8 and three 9s.
Despite the fact that Ed and Katya, once again, found themselves at the bottom of the leaderboard, the pair got a standing ovation after their wacky cha cha to 'Love Potion No. 9’.
They scored 26 after receiving one 4, two 7s and an 8 after Bruno called it a "triumph" and Craig couldn't stop laughing afterwards.
