Kerry Katona silences marriage critics by putting on a united front with husband George Kay at glitzy charity bash in London

KERRY Katona and her husband George Kay were all smiles at a London charity bash last night after recently rekindling their romance.

The former Atomic Kitten star, 36, and hubby No3 George, 35, cosied up together on the red carpet at the annual Elbrook Gala Dinner in aid of the British Asian Trust's new Give a Girl a Future appeal at Chak 89.

The formerly estranged pair wore matching all-black ensembles for the outing, and Kerry styled her hair in a glamorous bouffant.

Kerry had announced plans to divorce rugby ace George in October 2015, just over a year into their marriage, after he was arrested for allegedly assaulting her.

However George was acquitted of the charges after Kerry withdrew her statement, and late last summer he returned to live with Kerry and her five children, including the couple's two-year-old daughter Dylan-Jorge.

Following the reconciliation, Kerry said: "We're together and we're very happy.

All I'm going to say is anyone who is in a marriage, you all have your ups and downs."

The couple's appearance at the charity ball comes after Kerry sensationally revealed on Channel 5's In Therapy that she'd provided pills to her suicidal mother.

She later denied she was trying to help her mum kill herself — which is illegal under English law — explaining that she'd given her the tablets as a "scare tactic".
