Christine Lampard reveals her husband Frank believes in ghosts… and he fears their New York flat is haunted
The presenter says her hubby says they've been visited by an old lady spirit
YOU would have thought FRANK LAMPARD’s most terrifying moment was pulling on the England shirt in a World Cup.
But his wife CHRISTINE LAMPARD says he is most scared when he’s home alone — as he thinks their New York flat is haunted by an old woman.
And Christine admitted that she has also had some eerie experiences, as her clocks stopped at the exact time her grandparents died.
In an exclusive interview at the Celebrity Haunted Hotel, Christine revealed: “Frank thinks that our flat is haunted. He’s absolutely convinced that it is.
“I know what he means because I’m in it more than he is on my own.
“We are both convinced it’s a large old woman. He’s said it a few times.
“Sometimes it’s when you’re on your own and you start thinking too much but it’s when you look across and you’re just convinced that someone has walked past you.
“We’ve both had moments like that in this flat on our own.
“We have been there for almost a year and a half so we’ve sensed this thing in the flat for quite a while.
“Sometimes you see reflections - there’s like a high gloss painting thing that’s hanging on the wall and there’s been quite a few moments when you see lots of different things moving on it and there’s nothing moving apart from me.”

Despite this, it’s not the first time the telly host has had a close encounter with things that go bump in the night.
She admitted that her family are “steeped in superstition” and are terrified about frogs entering their home of their own accord – as that’s exactly what happened the day her grandparents died.
And they’ve also experienced their clocks stopping at the exact time family members have passed away.
Christine, who is hosting the show alongside The Sun’s film critic JAMIE EAST for the next four nights on W at 9pm, added: “We have had bizarre things happen over the years - we have had relatives pass away and all the clocks stop at the time of the death and that’s actually happened twice.
“I know that happened and that’s a fact - we were all in the room.
“We also believe that if you see a frog coming in that’s a sign of death.
“And that happened twice with my grandparents the night before they died. So that’s another thing my mum absolutely swears by.”
Spooky.
Stressed king quits
ALEKSANDRA KING last night became the first candidate in Apprentice history to quit BEFORE the task had even begun.
But now the business consultancy owner has revealed why she threw in the towel – and blasted producers for creating excess stress.
In an exclusive interview, she said: “I think there’s a blame culture going on in the process that is unnecessary. It causes unnecessary stress.
“If something goes wrong, it’s like, ‘Whose fault is that?’ I thought, ‘Do I want to bring that culture into my business?’ and the answer is no.
“The other thing was about family – I strongly believe in a healthy work-life balance. Access to family is a human right and I had severely restricted access to my family and I found that unnecessary.
“They want to teach business skills but depriving your family has got nothing to do with that.”
Aleksandra also hit out at Lord Sugar’s brutal business ethos, admitting she could never see them working together.
She said: “The way in which Lord Sugar and I run our businesses are different because for me, it’s not just about making money.” Miaow.
Not wild about TV
COOKING and gardening shows may be ratings winners, but wildlife expert SIR DAVID ATTENBOROUGH reckons there are too many of them on TV.
The former BBC2 controller told a Royal Television Society event: “We are doing too much. They are absolutely excellent in their own way . . . but we are not exploring new things and new subjects enough.”
Sir David wants to see more channels commit to natural history series, like his Planet Earth II for the BBC, and is surprised ITV has not risen to the challenge.
He said: “They could give us a body blow. So why don’t they?”
- SOLDIER RICHARD JONES wants Prince Charles to perform with him at December’s Royal Variety Performance. The magician winner of this year’s Britain’s Got Talent, who has teamed up with ticketing firm Trainline, said: “I’m sure he would be up for it. “He’s a member of the inner magic circle, which I’m in too.”
