FORMER Great British Bake Off finalist Ruby Tandoh has sent fans into overdrive by shaving off her full head of curls.
The 24-year-old took to Twitter to show off her new extreme look, and told her legion of baking-loving fans that she was ready to be the real her.
She wrote: "I realised I was always hiding behind my big mop of hair and pulling it over my face so I was like... bye curls, hello being unapologetic.
"Such a nervous, skulking lil cockroach before. no more!"
But then - throwing away the proverbial recipe book - she added: "Do what you want."
Since finding success on hit show GBBO, Ruby has gone on to write a cook book, several prolific columns and came out as being gay last year.
Poking fun at her sexuality she tweeted another picture of her new 'do with the caption: "Heard yer boyfriend prefers girls with long hair."
One follower congratulated the kitchen whizz on having the courage to take such a huge leap, writing: "Ruby you are amazing and I wish I had the guts to do this."
The newly liberated star made it to the finals of the Great British Bake Off in 2013, but narrowly missed out on the crown to fellow contestant Frances Quinn.
Last night 14 million people saw pouty baker Candice Brown be crowned 2016 winner.
