The Islanders will no longer be reuniting for some festive fun
LOVE Island’s Christmas special has been cancelled.
Just weeks after The Sun Online exclusively revealed ITV2’s exciting plans to reunite the Islanders, winners Cara De La Hoyde and Nathan Massey confirmed the idea has been scrapped at the last minute.
Talking exclusively to , Cara said: “That’s not happening anymore.
“There are a few different reasons, but it’s not happening now I’m afraid.”
Although the pair remained coy on the specific reasons behind the cancellation, they did confirm they’ll be returning to our screens next year in mystery new project.

The special Christmas episode, which is sadly no longer happening, was in the final stages of planning just two weeks ago.
Viewers would have watched as all the contestants came face-to-face following their explosive summer of fights, fall outs and falling for each other.
An ITV source exclusively told The Sun Online: “The whole project is currently in pre-production but there’s a real buzz around the idea.
“It’s just a case of working out the logistics with schedules and locations.”
