Clayton Hibbs has been found guilty of Kylie Platt's murder in Coronation Street.
The thug stabbed Kylie to death in the middle of the street after she tried to stop him from escaping after he attacked her friend, and now justice has been served.
In scenes shown on Monday night's episode of the ITV soap, Clayton began sobbing in court after the jury found him guilty.
His dad screamed at the injustice, insisting the killer was 'just a kid' but it didn't change things and the Platt family could finally have closure.
"It's over," said an emotional Gail in court as she comforted her grieving son.
However, after last week's horror crash that left Anna Windass in a coma, others on the street were not so ready to forgive David.
A furious Kevin Webster tried to attack him for the incident after it was clear Anna wasn't going to quickly recover from her injuries.
The cafe worker - played by actress Debbie Rush - was left screaming as her legs burned in the terrifying scenes which aired before the watershed.
The awful incident came just hours after a deliriously happy Anna agreed to move in with boyfriend Kevin and take their relationship to the next level.
But all that was undone by David Platt's revenge murder fantasy.
After escaping from the cellar in the Bistro and making his way to the car he bought to carry out his suicidal murder mission to kill his wife Kylie's murderer, he covered himself and the car in petrol to stop his family from stopping him.
But in an awful twist, David's daughter Lily slipped out of Fiz's care and went wandering into the street just as David drove off.
As he careered down the cobbles, lighter still in hand, his speed picked up and he spotted Lily too late to stop.
Desperately swerving to avoid his daughter, David flipped the car, and with Gary Windass running into the road to try to save Lily, he hit both of them and became trapped under the car.
It took the collective effort of all the street's residents to lift the car so Anna can reach in and drag Lily and Gary to safety.
Safely taken back to his family, David looked on in horror at the destruction he'd caused but it had yet to end.
After she managed to get Gary out just in time, the car exploded and Anna was knocked over. But as she got up, a fireball erupted and flew at her, engulfing her in flames.
The cobbles favourite stood with her legs on fire screaming as the others tried to put the flames out and save her.
Later, Anna was clearly in shock as she was rushed to hospital and was left unconscious.
As the police began to investigate what happened, the Platts closed ranks in order to protect David from the consequences
Meanwhile, a pregnant Michelle Connor was left shaking on the stairs after the car explosion and taken to hospital.
And Fiz was left bereft at the thought she caused the entire incident after taking her eyes off Lily for a second.
