Made in Chelsea cast and crew arrive back in London from Costa Rica following plane crash in Pacific Ocean

Show favourites including Binky Felstead and Alex Mytton looked serious as they touched down to be met by friends and family

THE cast of Made in Chelsea were greeted with huge hugs and kisses from their loved ones as they arrived in London after a traumatic trip which saw one of the crew's helicopters crash into the Pacific Ocean.

Show favourites Binky Felstead and Alex Mytton touched down at Gatwick Airport after the long-haul flight from Costa Rica.

They were instantly met by their family and friends, relieved to see them safe after the incident-marred trip.

Brunette Binky sported a sleeveless grey vest with matching jogging bottoms as she left the Arrivals lounge.

She slung a cream handbag over her shoulder and wheeled her own luggage around as she made her way to her mates.

The beauty looked fresh-faced yet solemn as she left, closely followed by ex-lover Alex.

As she stepped out into the sunshine she was swept up in a huge embrace and she planted a kiss on the cheek of a pal in a striped cardigan.

Meanwhile Alex looked a little jet-lagged as they made their low-key exit.

His sunglasses remained on and his grey hoodie up as he met a lady in a matching cardigan for a cuddle.

Their lesser-known co-stars, including newbie Emily Blackwell, also made a no frills departure from the London airport.

Filming in the exotic resort was immediately cancelled after the incident last week, with the stars advised to head home "as soon as possible."

NBC Universal who own the programme, arranged for all the crew and cast to be chauffeured from their hotel in Costa Rica to the runway to catch their flight home which was delayed by three hours.

NBC then arranged for a special service to usher the celebrities and the production team through a special side-door to avoid being spotted by fellow passengers.

After the horrifying ordeal a spokeswoman for the E4 reality show said: "Four of our production team on Made in Chelsea, produced by Monkey Kingdom, were involved in a plane crash earlier today (UK time) in a resort in Costa Rica.

"We can confirm that all four people and the pilot are safe and unhurt.

"No cast were on board."

They added: "We are grateful to the emergency services in Costa Rica for their assistance in this serious incident.

"We have taken immediate steps to ensure those involved have every support locally and our priority is to return all cast and crew home.

"We ask that the privacy of everyone involved in Made in Chelsea, both on and off screen, is respected over the coming days."
