BURNING LOVE FOR ELVIS

Elvis Presley set to become most successful solo artist in UK chart history after posthumous album jumps to No1

The singing legend is still going strong 40 years after his death

ALMOST 40 years on from his death ELVIS PRESLEY is still ruling the roost.

My exclusive figures show the rock and roll icon is course to become the most successful solo artist in UK chart history this week thanks to the runaway success of his latest record.

His new posthumous LP, The Wonder Of You: Elvis Presley With The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, has unexpectedly leapfrogged MICHAEL BUBLE and LADY GAGA in the race for this week’s No1.

If it holds on then he will defeat MADONNA to become the solo star with the most No1 UK albums ever — bagging 13 in chart-toppers in total.
He and MADGE are currently neck and neck on 12.

While Michael Buble’s Nobody But You was tipped for the top after huge pre-orders, Elvis has now soared ahead by more than 2,000 copies.

If the album continues to sell at this rate then it will become the second fastest-selling album of the year, with only the late DAVID BOWIE’s Blackstar bettering him.

But it is bad news for LADY GAGA.

Elvis is out-selling her new album Joanne by two to one, meaning the popstar is set to enter the charts at just No3 — her most disappointing result yet for a solo LP.

Once again, and to quote The King himself, the charts are All Shook Up.
