X Factor faces yet ANOTHER fakery row as Fright Night tipped to be chosen for Halloween week
The theme is 2/1 favourite for next week
THE X Factor faces a new fakery row – as Sun Bets can confirm Fright Night is the standout favourite to be chosen for next week’s theme.
The ITV talent show introduced a mechanical jukebox this series which determines the song theme for the upcoming show during each brutal elimination episode.
And while the jukebox is supposed to make the choice “randomly”, viewers have suggested the show will be a “fix” if Fright Night is chosen just in time for Halloween.
Sun Bets can now confirm that the Halloween-themed song week is the 2/1 favourite to be chosen for next week’s show.
Other themes that could be chosen include Louis Loves, Disco, Eighties, Boy band vs girl band and Movies.
Louis Loves is the second favourite to be next week’s theme at 3/1, while Disco also seems likely at 4/1.
Sun Bets spokesman Tim Reynolds revealed: “We’ve had to make Fright Night our stand out favourite at 2/1… because we’ve got a sneaky suspicion that no matter what theme the wheel lands on, Dermot will nudge it to Fright Night for Halloween."
Despite this, X Factor bosses have confirmed that the Halloween-inspired theme could come up at any time during the live show – even for the Christmas episode.
An X Factor source said: “Fright Night could come up at any time during the live shows and so it’ll feature as and when it appears.
“There is no contingency plan and it could even appear the week before Christmas.”
However, droves of viewers have picked up on the fact the jukebox is bound not to be random as claimed.
Aaron Bumby said: “Not saying the X Factor jukebox is fixed… but wonder what the chances of it landing on Fright Night on Halloween are.”
Joseph Stephen wrote: “Wow that X Factor jukebox is fixed. Like Fright Night week isn’t going to be on Halloween! #XFactor”
And Lauren Ellington added: “Surely that X Factor jukebox thing is rigged??? As if it’s gonna land on fright night the week before Christmas.”
This week’s theme was Divas, which saw Honey G perform Ice Ice Baby and favourite Matt Terry sing Mariah Carey’s I’ll Be There.
