'IT IS HEARTBREAKING'

Emmerdale boss reveals that ‘Dingle craziness’ could threaten to derail Aaron and Robert wedding

Producer Iain MacLeod also said that it would be very emotional, raw and honest

EMMERDALE's producer has revealed some rather worrying news for Robron fans across the country - that their wedding could be threatened by those pesky Dingles (or, let's face it, most likely Cain).

Last night almost gave fans a heart attack after Aaron accepted Robert's proposal before abruptly appearing to flatline.

Though it was James, not Aaron, who suffered an untimely death after his deranged wife Emma shoved him off the bridge and he smashed into dementia-sufferer Ashley's car.

And it seems like Robert and Aaron's wedding won't be plain sailing either.

Emmerdale producer Iain MacLeod revealed at a press conference last week that the big day would be "really heartbreaking"; and "big emotionally".

Speaking to , he said: "It's quite raw and honest, and it has got a healthy dose of Dingle craziness at the heart of it that threatens to derail things."

He emphasised that it would be "huge emotional territory"; and that it would be happening next year.

Iain also spoke about the fan reaction to Robert and Aaron.

He said: "I have never seen anything like it, to be honest. It is a phenomenon – the Robron phenomenon. I was aware of it before I came to Emmerdale and you think you understand it. But it's only when you are immersed in it you realise how passionately our audience care about those two characters.

"They have been through so much and survived it, so the audience are rooting for them and so am I fundamentally."
