The spooky ‘REAL reason’ Helen Flanagan broke off engagement to Scott Sinclair

HELEN Flanagan broke off her engagement to Scott Sinclair after being certain she'd received a chilling sign.

The actress, 32, and footballer Scott, 33, shocked fans last week when they confirmed they'd split after 13 years together.

Now The Sun can reveal the spooky events that led up to former Coronation Street star Helen's decision.

A well-placed source said: "Helen's engagement ring snapped earlier this year.

"She's into all things spiritual and had a feeling so she sought guidance from a psychic medium.

"Helen and Scott really tried to work on their relationship but ultimately she saw the ring breaking as a bad omen and one that meant she shouldn't get married."

The Sun has contacted Helen's rep for comment.

Last week we told how Helen - who shares children Matilda, seven, Delilah, four, and Charlie, one, with Scott - had been telling pals it was all over, just weeks after she'd finished filming ITV’s ITV’s I’m A Celebrity All Stars in South Africa.

A source said: “Helen has removed her engagement ring and told those close to her that she is no longer with Scott.

"They hit a rough patch in the summer and after she came back from South Africa their relationship ended.

“Helen and Scott are committed to co-parenting their kids, even if they are no longer a couple.”

In May she revealed that the pair had not shared a bed for seven years — with Helen choosing to sleep with her children.

The couple’s careers also led to spells living apart.

The source said: “Helen turfed Scott out of their marital bed a long time ago because she co-sleeps with their kids."
