FANS went into meltdown on Twitter after Anna Windass was set alight after a car exploded on the cobbles.
David had threatened to blow himself up earlier in the episode and sped down the street in his car covered in petrol.
His car flipped over leaving Gary and Lily trapped underneath.
Neighbours managed to free them, but the carnage didn't end there.
David's revenge ended with a horrifying ordeal for Anna Windass as she was engulfed in a fireball.
She had just been celebrating as she had agreed to move in with boyfriend Kevin and take their relationship to the next level.
Fans couldn't believe what had happened, with one fan writing "Corrie almost gave me a heart attack tonight! So much drama!"
Another simply wrote: "Crikey."
Someone else said: "OMG #CoronationStreet I'm shaking"
Viewers even liked the prewatershed scenes to horror flick Final Destination.
