After they were axed by the public vote after the first live show, Bratavio exclusively told The Sun Online they were no novelty act.

After they sung  a mashup of Aqua’s Barbie Girl and Vengaboys’ Boom on Saturday they discussed the criticism, and Ottavio said: “We’re not [the novelty act], we’re credible!

“We’ve got good voices, good production and we want to be industry standards.

“[Creative director] Brian Freidman understands us and he knows we don’t want to come across as a joke.”

The flamboyant duo then revealed they wanted to be the UK's next Eurovision act.

Ottavio told The Daily Star: “We would love to do Eurovision. I think we could win it.”

He added that he thought it would be the “perfect contest” for them.
