Countryfile’s Helen Skelton to host ITV’s Lorraine next week after hit Olympics coverage

She will be taking the reigns over the October half-term

HELEN Skelton will guest host ITV’s Lorraine next week while Lorraine Kelly is on holiday for the October half-term.

The Countryfile host, who proved a huge hit as she presented the swimming and diving coverage at the Olympic Games from Rio this summer, will take the reins from Lorraine on Monday 24th October.

The former Blue Peter and Newsround presenter and mum of one, Helen also fronted the London Olympics coverage in 2012 and is a published children’s author.

Speaking about the gig, Helen said: “I’m so excited to be filling Lorraine Kelly’s shoes for the week, although they are pretty big shoes to fill! I’m looking forward to working with the team at ITV, chatting to the special guests and taking part in the cookery items.

“Also, as people may know, I’m a huge fan of fashion so I’m especially looking forward to hearing the latest fashion news and sharing the latest trends with viewers.”
