Dragons’ Den star Drew Cockton’s tragic last Instagram post about being ‘authentic’ days before being found dead
DRAGONS' Den star Drew Cockton gave touching advice about being "authentic" in his last Instagram post days before he died.
The entrepreneur said ensuring people "feel comfortable to open up about their lives outside work without fear of judgement is key".
He posted on Instagram just two days before he passed away peacefully at his home yesterday aged 34.
Drew said: "Businesses big and small should be encouraging their staff to feel comfortable about being their true and authentic selves.
"This has been proven by economists to boost productivity and profitability, so from an economic as well as moral viewpoint there is the impetus to do so.
"Simple things such as taking the time to learn which pronouns your staff members want to use and creating an environment in which they feel comfortable to open up about their lives outside work without fear of judgement is key."

The TV star secured £50,000 from entrepreneur Touker Suleyman when he pitched his scented candle business on the BBC show last year.
Mr Suleyman this evening called him a "young man with drive, passion" and "plenty of energy".
His mum Kate wrote she was "truly, utterly heartbroken" to announce her "gorgeous boy" had died at home yesterday.
She added: "We are devastated beyond belief. Life is never, ever going to be the same again.
"Rest Peacefully darling boy."
Devastated Paris Hilton has led tributes to the businessman.
The US personality, 41, wrote: "Devastated to hear the news of my friend & #LittleHilton @mrowendrew. 😭💔
"He was so kind with a heart of gold. My heart breaks for his loved ones & family.
"Sending them all my condolences & so much love. RIP sweet soul❤️🙏 Love you forever my friend😢"
Touker Suleyman, who invested in him, said he was "devastated by the sad news".
He added: "Drew came to Dragons' Den and won my investment in his candle and fragrance business.
"Young man with drive, passion, business acumen, with plenty of energy.
