Fans finally got to find out the true identities of the dancing celebrities who'd beguiled them throughout the 2022 show - but which star took home The Masked Dancer 2022 crown?

Who won the Masked Dancer 2022?

Scissors went up against Onomatopoeia in a heated final to clinch the 2022 Masked Dancer Crown.

While Onomatopoeia was revealed to be Hollywood heart-throb Adam Garcia, Scissors was finally unmasked as another US star.

The Masked Dancer 2022 champion was Glee star Heather Morris who was delighted by her win and shared her joy with fans.

Fans were already convinced Scissors was Heather Morris, who played Brittany S. Pierce in Glee.

Clues given on The Masked Dancer 2022 included when Scissors claimed to have had more chart hits than music legend Elvis Presley, with fans pointing out the Glee cast did just that.

Elsewhere, the sharp act used the phrase "New Directions", the name of the Glee club in the show, as well as referring to the "president".

Brittany was class president on the hit musical show, which aired on Channel 4 in the UK.

Other guesses included Destiny's Child singer Kelly Rowland.

Earlier on in the competition many fans thought the cutting edge star was X Factor winner Alexandra Burke.

Pearly King

Pearly King dropped several hints that has led fans to guess his true identity as former Strictly judge Bruno Tonioli.

The three clues for Pearly King, posted on social media, were a banana, a police station, and a geisha.

Apparently this was enough to cement some viewers thoughts that Bruno was secretly in the costume.

One fan wrote: "Bruno Tonioli was the lead dancer in Elton John's (Rocket Man) I'm still standing video........he also choreographed Bananarama's Venus Video and appeared in an episode of the Bill in 2001."

A second person noted: "Bruno was in a Bananarama video and dressed as a geisha for a Rolling Stones video."

Another said: "I've watched this once cause I don't like the Masked Dancer but if that's not Bruno Tonioli I will faint cause that's him I don't care."

Despite overwhelming support for Bruno, other fans think the blinged-up lion is in fact an EastEnders legend.

TV host Ria Hebden thinks she's worked out who's behind The Masked Dancer star Pearly King.

Onomatopoeia

Onomatopoeia has dropped several clues which have led fans to believe they are a Hollywood star.

Viewers of the ITV competition are certain it's an actor from 00s hit Coyote Ugly.

Fans have been taking to Reddit to discuss the clues given as to the identity of the celebrity behind Onomatopoeia's mask.

One eagle-eyed viewer noted that there's more than EIGHTEEN subtle hints that point towards actor and dancer Adam Garcia.

A Reddit user wrote: "Onomatopoeia is Adam Garcia. Firstly, Onomatopoeia rhymes with Adam Garcia.

"Start your day right, 'Boiled Egg and Soldiers' was an early morning show Adam presented back in 1996.

"Two lies, one truth, 'trained with superheroes', he went to Knox Grammar in New South Wales and other alumni include Hugo Weaving and Hugh Jackman." 

However early guesses disagreed with this varying from Russell Kane, Tinie Tempah, Chris Eubank, Thierry Henry, and even David Dickinson.
