HORRIFIED fans of The Archers fear the fictional village of Ambridge is about to be shaken by a swingers scandal.
Listeners were left reeling after characters in the BBC Radio 4 soap invited neighbours for a drink and to join them in their new hot tub.
The storyline saw Joy Horville and boyfriend Mick go for dinner, letting pals Helen Archer and Lee Bryce try the tub alone — before surprising them by coming home early to get in.
One fan said: “I’ve a terrible feeling that Mick might be a swinger and hopes Helen will get frisky.”
A second added: “And so began The Ambridge Swingers Society (ASS for short . . . ).”
After one episode last week, a stunned listener wrote on social media: “Omg, Joy and Mick are swingers aren’t they.”
