Emmerdale’s Charity has been tortured by love rat Cain for so long…but is this the final straw?

With all the massive dramas of late, you really have to hand it to Charity – she’s still managed to make sure everything revolves around her.
As she packs for France, one person who has had enough of her shenanigans is son Noah, who decides he’d rather live with Moira.
Cain promises Charity he’ll change his mind, but as she goes to say goodbye to baby Moses, she’s shedding family members at an alarming rate.
There’s one final sting in the tail for Charity, though, when Cain pulls over as they’re driving away and admits he wants to stay, telling her to say “Hi” to Debbie for him.
Utterly devastated, Charity zooms off in Cain’s car – which is found at the bottom of a lake the next day…
The Whites at War
There appears to be quite a list of secrets that rival siblings Rebecca and Chrissie have kept from each other over the past few years.
But the two biggies are Rebecca’s past dalliance with Robert and the fact that Chrissie may not be her sister at all.
“Chrissie doesn’t know at this point that there was something between Rebecca and Robert while she and him were still together,” says Emmerdale newcomer Emily Head, who plays the naughty younger sister.
“It’s not ideal, but Robert can be extremely charming. When he knows what he wants, he knows how to get it and Rebecca was drawn into that.”
What Rebecca wants is for Lachlan to keep his trap shut about his suspicions over his aunt and his stepdad.
But when he thinks that Rebecca is up to no good, he blurts them out in front of everyone – leading to the pair trading blows in The Woolpack.
It’s the issue of whether or not Lawrence is Rebecca’s dad, though, that is causing even bigger ructions – as she lets Chrissie know that she might not even be her sister.
“Rebecca’s quite hurt that Chrissie has kept this from her for so long and not even admitted it now they’re face to face,” explains Emily.
Lawrence intercepts the DNA results, but after Ronnie has a word with him, he hands them over. Much to Chrissie’s horror, it’s revealed that Rebecca is Lawrence’s daughter and, unsurprisingly, she decides she’s going to stay put at Home Farm.
To make matters worse, proud dad Lawrence then makes Rebecca co-manager of the family business.
“She’s delighted,” adds Emily.
“Inevitably, she’s going to make Chrissie’s life difficult. And, of course, she’s got this job without doing any of the hard work that her sister’s put into it.”
Chrissie is not going to take this lying down…
Health scare for Lisa
It’s another stressful week for Lisa, who hasn’t had much respite for most of this year.
First, there’s the worry of a visit from Belle, which Jermaine complicates by flagging up the cough she has developed. Then it’s back to battling Joanie, bringing on one of Lisa’s funny turns.
Lisa may not be in the best of health, but it’s Joanie who starts to change colour as husband Zak fusses over his ex-wife.
Can it be much longer before Zak and Lisa finally admit they’re still in love with each other? Right now, the village could really do with this pair back together. Sorry, Joanie.
