The second episode of the full-of-twists drama focuses on efficient secretary Holly (Kimberley Nixon).
On the outside, she’s super-organised, with every part of her and her boss’ lives under control; on the inside,she’s convinced she’s a loser and that everyone in the world is having more fun than her.
And this is before she discovers a torn-up note in boyfriend Neil’s pocket, which suggests he’s
on the verge of ending their relationship because she’s too boring.
Holly fights back by tracking down an ex and ‘accidentally’ bumping into him, before creating a new glamorous online life for herself. Obviously, he’s taken in by her lies and they start flirting with each other before going for dinner at one of her favourite restaurants.
The new Holly is exciting, sophisticated and having fun, which is all great, until the obvious downsides kick in…
It’s so impressive that, by focusing in on the everyday lives of the characters, this second series of Ordinary Lies is able to be tense, tragic and, every now and then, hilarious.

Intrepid explorer Ben heads deep into the Cascade mountains in north-west America where, in the middle of a snowy forest, he meets Lynx Vilden, a woman who moved to the wilderness 20 years ago.
She teaches Ben how to eat, hunt and sleep the “Stone Age life”. It may look freezing but he seems to enjoy it.
Married At First Sight 9pm c4
Getting legally married on the say- so of a panel of relationship experts seems a little crazy to us, but another couple are set to tie the knot tonight. And after saying “I do” in the last episode, Melissa and Clark are getting to know each other.
They discover they both have the ‘nesting gene’, but is that enough to make a marriage work? We’re not sure we’re convinced.
