The girls head home after gruelling shoot for new festive episode
THE Birds of Feather girls look happy to heading home after a hectic few weeks filming the show’s Christmas special.
Linda Robson and Pauline Quirke smiled for the cameras as they jetted back to England after shooting in Malta.
Their co-star Lesley Joseph had already headed back due to her Strictly Come Dancing commitments.
The ladies looked like they had been kept busy as they got ready to board their plane, with Linda tweeting that her hectic schedule didn’t end there, she said: “Catch up tomorrow off to bed now another early pick up night all @OfficialBOAF all week and @loosewomen Friday I'm a lucky girl”.
Pauline’s son Charlie, who plays Linda’s son on the show, was also there.
He has been keeping fans of the show up-to-date with what they’ve been up to, saying: “Up nice and early for first day of filming, can't wait!”
This week all three of the leading ladies were snapped as they filmed scenes for the seasonal special.
Filming of the festive episode is happening around Lesley’s gruelling Strictly training schedule which has seen her lose weight and dance circles around her competition.
Speaking to The Mirror the actress revealed: “I’ve got my Dorien figure back. I was nervous I wouldn’t be able to keep up but I’m fitter than ever. My thighs are like rock.
“I have lost half a stone already.”
She also admitted she feels about 35, despite heading towards her 71st birthday this Friday.
She even joked that she’s been wearing Anton out.
Claiming: “He asks if we can have a break and I tell him we can’t. I think he knows who’s wearing the trousers.”
Birds of a Feather returned to screens in 2012 after a 15 year absence.
