In the middle of his set, Robbie was looking out to the crowd when he spotted a woman in the front row clinging on to the barrier and asked her what her name was.

The woman appeared shocked but flattered as she revealed her name was Sue.

To the sound of cheers from his hyped-up fans, Robbie dedicated his song 'She's The One' to her and launched into the track.

As Robbie serenaded his guest with the well-known tune, made famous by the Brit in 1999, the audience echoed the words back.

She's The One won a number of accolades upon its release, including the Brit Awards for British Single of the Year and British Video of the Year in 2000.

When it came to the chorus, instead of saying 'She's The One', Robbie changed the words to 'Sue's The One'.

Four kids, 12 albums and 59 singles into his career, the popstar was as energetic as ever as he coasted from song to song throughout the night.

A montage of images were sprinkled throughout a count down from 10, before he bellowed: "Let me reintroduce you, my name is Robbie Williams."

LET ME ENTERTAIN YOU

Dramatic as ever with his devious glare, the 48-year-old issued a promise to the eager audience.

He said: "I go around the world entertaining people and people ask me 'Robbie, what is entertainment?' "I'll show you what entertainment is."

Making use of the runway out to the audience as well the stage, there wasn't a still body in the arena as he danced along with fans and appeared to be enjoying every minute.

Robbie took his loyal followers back to the nineties with his classic hits as he told the crowd he his collection of hits can fit into one of two moods: " Either I'm really amazing or I'm really vulnerable and lonely."

He reflected on his days as a teenager when he joined Take That and recalled auditioning for the group in Manchester.

The show was his second in two days after playing the O2 the night before where he was flashed by a fan.

He glowed under the lights of a production that can only be achieved with more than 20 years in the industry - knowing where to walk, how to talk and giving off the precise amount of energy to get the crowd to their feet at any given moment.

Toward the end of the show, he told revellers: "There is a happy ending to this story. I'm still here. Married. Four kids. Best job in the world with the most awesome fans."

As he told his audience goodnight, he said thank you - and the tears in his eyes hinted he really meant it.
