Married at First Sight fans left besotted with hunky contestant Clark
Sad thing is, he's now got hitched
PROPOSALS flooded in as Married at First Sight fans were left besotted by hunky business development manager Clark.
The Londoner was the first male contestant of the new series and his good looks and blunt honesty captivated viewers from the get-go.
He was left speechless after being told he was one of eight contestants who would get hitched, only able to mutter that his wife Melissa - who he didn't meet until their big day - had "a nice name".
Clark, 26, gained a legion of admirers throughout the episode and they took to Twitter to pop the question to the skinhead.
One gushed Clark is adorable, I'd marry him! while cheeky fan another added: "I would absolutely marry Clark at first sight," followed by the hashtag #ihopemydfiancereisntreadingthis.
Others simply posted: "I would marry Clark," while one quizzed: "why didn't I sign up to this? I'd well marry Clark."
Another, seemingly transfixed, added: "Bloody hell do men like Clark exist ? He's so nice... Can I marry him ?"
One telly addict posted: "I would marry Clark in a heartbeat," while another proffered: "I'll marry you Clark," coupled with an Emoji face with heart-shaped eyes.
Another wrote: "I'd quite happily marry Clark," while one left the matter in no doubt, adding: "100% would marry Clark."
Clark was matched with Melissa, a trainee nurse, also from London.
He revealed he simply wanted to get to know his bride to be - and sex wan't necessarily on the agenda the first time they met.
He told the vicar: "I want to make sure I know her, and get to know her as a person.
"We are a partnership now. We are doing this together."
This prompted yet more comments from fans, with one cheeky viewer writing: "I would happily marry Clark tomorrow. And happily be having a sexual relationship on our wedding night."
Another confessed they wanted to get hitched to him before adding the picture post: "experiencing perverted thoughts."
Another quipped: "If it doesn't work out I'll marry you Clark."
Adorable Clark waxed lyrical about the once in a lifetime experience aired on the Channel 4 show.
He told the camera he had come from a divorced family and didn't want a repeat experience.
He told the camera: "It's not marrying a stranger - it's marrying someone you've never met before.
"Getting to know someone you can marry, move in or go on holiday.
"Basically I'm just quashing them all together."
He added: "I want it to be happy, purely with one person otherwise I wouldn't be doing this."
Fans then saw six weeks speed by and everything from Melissa trying of wedding dresses to the pair finally setting eyes on each other at the alter.
They seemed all loved up from the outset - despite Melissa previously having reservations/
Talking of his name, she said: "Clark makes me think of superman - I'm putting some pressure on him
"I feel like he's got a lot to live up to
Fans will see how their new relationship plays out in later episodes.
