Jack Whitehall fails to impress gold medal-winning athletes with his sarcastic quips in hilarious exclusive outtakes from this summer’s School of Rio
The comedian was schooled by Olympians and Paralympians in dressage, swimming, cycling and rowing
JACK Whitehall would do well to brush up on his day job after failing to impress Olympic athletes with his humour as they attempted to teach him their sports.
In a series of funny outtakes, the comedian is seen learning to cycle with gold medallist Sir Bradley Wiggins, but leaves the cyclist unamused as he tries to see the funny side.
He has trouble getting on the bike and riding off and decides that the pouches Sir Bradley keeps energy bars and isotonic gels in are better suited for carrots and hummus, the “king of the dips”.
He then berates him for shouting at him after Sir Bradley moans he hasn’t given up his day for this.
He also mocks dressage but is soon put in his place by Lee Pearson after asking if the horses also have a disability and leaves swimmers Ellie Simmonds and Susie Rogers rolling their eyes in despair when he quips they’d have trouble getting the horses in the pool for water polo.
Jack is also given the task of being cox to rowers Sir Steve Redgrave and Helen Glover which he amusingly narrates with quips such as “Less of that attitude, Redgrave!” and “Show me the passion!” before steering them into a river bank.

He also gets beaten up by boxer Katie Taylor, much to Joe Ward’s amusement and runs away after petulantly throwing his glove her.
The outtakes come from videos Jack did as part of the Samsung School of Rio series – The School Report – in which he was schooled by Olympians and Paralympians past and present over the summer.
This followed on from his endeavours with the England Rugby team last year.
The video has been released to coincide with the activity with the Team GB celebratory parade in Manchester and London which takes place today.
