Gogglebox’s Steph and Dom confirm their telly exit saying ‘You can have too much of a good thing’

STEPH and Dom have sensationally revealed that they have left Gogglebox indefinitely and will not confirm their return, saying, “You can have too much of a good thing.”

The pair have been mysteriously absent since the show returned last month and in an exclusive interview with The Sun Online the guesthouse owners said: “We think it’s important that everyone gets their chance to be on Gogglebox and give their opinion, and having been on it from the beginning we felt like we’d pretty much said all we needed to say, and we knew what we were going say."

Steph added: "We've decided to take a break from it."

As for whether they’ll be making a return from their “break” the couple were non-committal.

“You can have too much of a good thing, so you can’t overdo it, we just felt it was time," said Steph.

“We’ve got other projects and not a lot of time. We’re very busy and filming at the hotel was pretty tough.”

She added: “I’m so touched that people have been missing us, because I think there are some incredibly funny characters on there so the fact we’re missed is quite a big deal for us.

“We do still watch it and we enjoy the new characters, it’s still making us belly laugh which is great.”

The Sun Online has contacted Channel 4 for comment.

The pair also remained tight-lipped on whether they’ll be getting their own chat show.

“Who knows, who thought we’d be doing any of this in the first place?” said Dom.

“You can never guess what’s around the corner, so who knows… Everything is very topsy turvy in the TV land, but we’d absolutely be delighted.”

For now though, Steph and Dom are supporting FRONTLINE Plus, which protects pets from fleas and ticks, and admit that their beloved pup Gigi, can cause them some blushes.
