LOOSE Women panellist Nadia Sawalha has slammed footballer Ched Evans after he was dramatically cleared of rape last week.
The opinionated presenter shared her thoughts alongside Ruth Langsford, Coleen Nolan and Gloria Hunniford as they discussed the case and the nation's growing issue with alcohol related incidents.
Nadia revealed she has been trying to keep her daughters well-informed about the dangers of alcohol as she explained to the Loose Women audience: "If you are drunk and out on the street, you could be vulnerable to unsavoury people.
"I think we have a massive problem with drink, up and down the country there is just horror stories of people 'doing things' not knowing they were doing it 'because they were drunk'."
She then added: "I just like to say though Ched Evans has been proven innocent, he is morally corrupt for that behaviour. It terrifies me that my daughters are growing up in this world.
"It terrifies me that you can't be drunk within this section of society thinking you have then 'asked for it' if you were drunk. I don't think all men are animals. Men are better than that, but you have to alert your daughter to the fact there are some like that."
Meanwhile Gloria Hunniford made her thoughts clear as she stated: "In my mind I just can't comprehend in all of that. Ched Evans is the last person I would be sending my children to any kind of sex education.
She explained: "In my opinion it shows the type of man he is though. The facts of the case, maybe I am naive because I am of an era where a threesome meant the three bears, I don't understand threesomes.
"The mere fact that his mate goes 'I've got this girl' and he has a threesome and there's two blokes outside filming it and he never says a word to the girl and leaves down the fire escape. This girl apparently as it turned out was so drunk that it was almost like making love to a dead body."
The panel all agreed that young adults need to be more aware about knowing their alcohol limits as Coleen Nolan said: "The problem is I think we need to have more on how much you should drink before you lose the ability to have any sense whatsoever.
"That's the thing, you can have all the conversation in the world, but if you've had that one extra drink you don't remember that. You don't think it's ever going to happen to you and that works both male and female."
Football Ched, 27, was found not guilty of rape on Friday after an unusual move by the High Court saw details of the alleged victim’s liaisons with other men used as evidence.
