Who is Simon Minter aka Miniminter and what’s his position in Soccer Aid 2024?

THE celebrity YouTuber is due to play in UNICEF's Soccer Aid 2024.

Miniminter is a well known member of The Sidemen, a British YouTuber group who regularly create content together.

Outside of his streaming and video career, he's a football fan and supports Leeds United F.C.

In 2023, he played right wing/forward for Sidemen F.C. in a charity football match in London. Their team won 8-5.

Who is YouTuber Miniminter?

Simon Minter, 30, grew up in Hertfordshire and attended Berkhamsted school, where he met KSI.

As of June 2024, he has 10.4 million YouTube subscribers on his individual channel.

He posted his first FIFA video in December 2012, just before he quit university. His nickname, he says, is a reference to his height when he was younger.

It’s also believed to be a reference to him being the youngest of the three children in his family. In his first few years of YouTube, Simon made FIFA videos, vlogs, Q&As and unboxings. 

Simon was born in Hemel Hempstead in 1992 and met future influencer and professional boxer KSI while attending Berkhamsted School.

They have both spoken of their initial animosity towards each other, and were forced into a friendship when their teachers intervened.

He is also a part of the Sidemen group, who have 16.5 million subscribers on their main YouTube channel.

How long have Simon Minter and Talia been together?

Simon has been in a relationship with 27-year-old Talia Minter (formerly Natalia Haddock) since 2017.

Talia is known professionally as Talia Mar, and she’s a singer, songwriter and internet personality. 

The two made their relationship public in 2018, and moved in with each other in February 2022. They announced their engagement on Instagram on the 24th of June that year, and married a year later in Italy, on June 3, 2023. The couple live in Worthing, England.

n April 2021, Simon posted a video to his channel titled We Broke Up, which amassed almost two million views.

The video was later confirmed to be a prank.

What position will Miniminter play in Soccer Aid 2024?

On his , he announced that he is to join Soccer Aid 2024. The match will take place on June 9, 2024, at Stamford Bridge Stadium in Chelsea.

He will be joined by Usain Bolt and Sir Mo Farah, among many others. His position is not yet known. 

The live show will be hosted by UNICEF UK Ambassador Dermot O’Leary, who will be joined once again by UNICEF UK High Profile Supporter, Alex Scott.

You can watch all the action live at 6PM on ITV, ITVX and STV on Sunday 9th of June. The Soccer Aid website says: "Watch international sporting legends come together with top celebrities to battle it out on the pitch this summer."

Soccer Aid was created by Robbie Williams in 2006, and aims to bring the nation together to help children worldwide have the best start in life. 

Last year it raised £14 million for UNICEF.
