EastEnders’ Rita Simons and Sam Womack film Xmas scenes before expected on-screen deaths… with creepy plastic baby
The pair were also filming next to a cemetery - they needed more misery
EASTENDERS is never known for their Christmas cheer, so it seems that they're trying to inject a bit of happiness with some cute donkeys and sheep... and a countdown for deaths of Ronnie and Roxy Mitchell.
Throw in Stacey and Martin gazing over a creepy plastic baby and a cemetery and you have the perfect, miserable, EastEnders Christmas.
Actresses Rita Simons, 39, (Roxy) and Sam Womack, 43, (Ronnie) are said to be devastated as they hoped the door would be left open for them to return.
The sisters arrived in Albert Square fresh off the plane from Ibiza in 2007 as the cousins of hardmen Grant and Phil.
Their deaths are part of a cull by new producer Sean O’Connor, who has recently killed off characters Margaret Midhurst and Paul Coker.
In new snaps taken of them filming at Christmas, the actresses are seen staring down at their phones as they wait to shoot their scenes.
Meanwhile, Martin and Stacey appear happy as they gaze into each others eyes and hug outside the church where the nativity is taking place.
The pair seem happy for once - though it seems like there might be a bit of an invasion in their pram.

Rather than a real baby being in the push chair, the production team has tucked a rather creepy-looking doll. Let's hope that's not in the final cut.
Scott Maslen (Jack Branning) was also spotted on the way to the service while a bunch of cute lambs and a donkey stood nearby.
Peggy's grave is also pictured near filming, meaning that a cemetery will also likely feature in the episode.
No one is sure exactly how the characters will be killed off, but a source told The Sun Online: "People are worried who’s going to be next. The script for Roxy and Ronnie’s deaths has been written, but none of the actors know what’s going to happen."
An EastEnders spokesman said: “We know how much our audience hate to have any future storylines spoilt so we will not comment on speculative stories.
“At no point have we received any concerns from cast about any of our future storylines.”
