Lindsay Lohan calls for Mean Girls sequel with reunion throwback Instagram picture
The flame-haired actress posted a sweet throwback with her chick flick co-stars
ORIGINAL girl squad The Plastics could be set for a bitchy comeback after Lindsay Lohan made a public plea to her Mean Girls co-stars for a reunion.
The beauty took to her Instagram account to upload a shot showing her posing with Rachel McAdams and Lacey Chabert back in the chic-flick's heyday, with the caption: "Miss you all ... sequel?"
Lindsay's throwback shot was taken when she had bright blonde hair and the actress looked stunning as she stared sultrily into the camera.
With her hand propped on her hip Lindsay, who played Cady Heron in the blockbuster, showed off her figure in a printed grey dress with a plunging halterneck which fastened around her neck.
She stood with her arm around Lacey, who flashed her cleavage in an eye-popping red glittery gown.
Meanwhile Rachel, who sported blonde hair in the film, was seen with a darker hair shade as she smiled sweetly for the camera.
As Queen Bee of the plastics Regina George she was famed for her catty comments and sassy attitude yet looked as nice as pie in her sweet pose and attractive black and cream strapless dress.
The picture-post, uploaded with the throwback Thursday hashtag #tbt, isn't the first time US star Lindsay has called for a follow up to the 2004 movie.
After the cast reunited in 2014, she said: "Why can’t we do a sequel? Of us all grown up. To work with everyone involved in Mean Girls again would be an honour.
"It was such a good experience. I think it would be really cool.”
Rachel, who went on to star in equally popular girly classic The Notebook, also gave the suggestion the thumbs-up.
Yet comedienne Tina Fey, who penned the movie, shunned the suggestions and: "There's definitely not a movie. It's just the anniversary is coming up, so everybody get your pink shirts.
"It's been 10 years. You can tell when you look at me it's been 10 years."
The film tell the story of Cady's struggles to fit into a high school crowd after moving from South Africa.
She meets girl gang The Plastics who take her on in their clique yet things take a turn when Cady is used as a pawn in a plot against the Queen Bee.

Perhaps Lindsay posted the picture to help distract her mind from her horrific hand injury which she suffered earlier this month.

Lohan explained in a caption on the video that she lost half her finger during the accident. She says the detached piece was found and she had surgery “to fix it.”
The 30-year-old later poked fun at herself on Instagram , posting a picture with the caption, “One handed selfie.”
