In October 2019, George was jailed for three months after being found guilty of drink-driving - while already serving a community punishment for attacking Gemma in a drunken rage in 2018.

In the wake of the coronavirus crisis, George got a job stacking shelves in his local Morrisons.

Tragically Pete died from bowel cancer in June in 2021 at the age of 71 - just days after he was diagnosed and given six months to live.
