Celebrity Big Brother star Ricky Norwood hints at return to EastEnders as Fatboy

FORMER EastEnders star Ricky Norwood has revealed a return to the soap is only a phone call away.

Ricky, who played Fatboy in the soap for six years, admitted he’s not sure if show bosses really did kill of his character and hinted a comeback could be on the cards.

The actor was dismissed from the show in 2014 after a video, allegedly showing Ricky smoking cannabis and performing a sex act on skype, surfaced.

When asked about the possibility of a return, he said: “I was a fan of Easties growing up and the fans know anything can happen in the Easties, so again, I’m open to opportunities.

“I’m looking forward to a couple of the next chapters that are about to happen. I’m excited for those.

“I’m never ever going to deny a phone call. I’ve got love, so much love for EastEnders, the production team, all the cast. We did some great work while I was there and they’re doing some great work now.”

Ricky also admitted his character’s storyline may not be as cut and dry as it seemed at the time.

His final scenes showed Fatboy had “died” after gruesomely being crushed in a car on Christmas Day but some have disputed he was even in there, as viewers never saw what Vincent Hubbard, played by Richard Blackwood, could see.

Fatboy had been shut in the boot of the car by Ronnie Mitchell, played by Samantha Womack, who hadn’t realised he was in there.

Speaking about the scenes, Ricky told The Express: “I don’t know, to my knowledge, I got told that he died in the boot.

“I wasn’t physically in the boot. I didn’t ever shoot any scenes in the boot, it was all the stunt team. I mean there’s always a possibility. The fans tell me that there’s a possibility.”

“Do you know how many plot twists there’ve been in nearly every storyline that has happened since I have left that people are like ‘yes, you’re coming back!’?”
