Tina Hobley is STILL on crutches TEN months after devastating injuries following crash on The Jump
The Holby City actress was among a number of contestants who severely injured themselves on this year’s skiing show
ACTRESS Tina Hobley still can’t walk without the help of crutches almost a year after her accident on The Jump.
The Holby City star star was spotted looking pained and struggling with bags as she shopped on London’s Oxford Street, with a John Lewis staff member soon coming to her aid.
The 45-year-old admits that the injuries she sustained the Channel 4 show in January have had a “huge impact” on her life.
Tina was one of a number of contestants forced to pull out of this year’s show after her elbow came out of its socket, her arm was broken in two places and she sustained injuries to her shoulder and knee, when she attempted a ski jump that the crew had failed to clear.
Speaking to Hello! she said: “For much of the year I haven’t been able to drive, dress, wash my hair or have a bath unaided.”
“My daughter has had to help me put my clothes on. And for months at a time I haven’t been able to take the kids to school, run errands, or do any of the things I love like yoga, cycling or walking any kind of distance.
“My injuries have had a huge impact on my life and on the family.”
She also revealed how her injuries impacted her career.
“I went back to London after the accident thinking I would only be in plaster for seven weeks but it turns out my injuries were worse than first thought. I had three major traumas,” she said.
