I had to ditch my baby name after realising it’s rude hidden meaning, says Charlotte Crosby
CHARLOTTE Crosby has revealed she was forced to ditch the name she'd picked for her baby girl after realising it's rude hidden meaning.
The Geordie Shore star, 32, is expecting her first child with boyfriend Jake Ankers and shared their happy news back in April.
But Charlotte has confessed the name they'd chosen for their baby had to be scrapped and shared the funny reason.
She said: "I know that I won't use this name so I’m going to tell you what the name of the baby was for the first two months.
"And actually I look back and think, why did I ever think that was going to be the baby’s name.
"It’s just so strange. Where did I even get this from? I feel a bit embarrassed. Well actually I don’t, because it is a pretty name. Actually I’m just going to say it. The name was gonna be Harla. So it would be spelt H-a-r-l-a."
More on Charlotte Crosby
Speaking on the Charlotte Crosby Always On podcast, she continued: "Harla Ankers was going to be the name.
"I liked Harla because I’d never heard it before and I thought it was quite individual, but then I researched ‘harlot’, which means ‘prostitute’ basically.
"So I was like, ‘No… no’. Because what if people say she’s Harla the harlot?"
Instead Charlotte revealed she and Jake have settled on a name that "sounds like a pop star".

She said: "I can’t obviously give it away, but it’s so beautiful. I’ll be honest, it sounds like the name of a popstar.
"So I'm just putting that out to the universe. I think she’s going to be a pop star. It’s so beautiful."
