BRITNEY Spears' mum Lynne has hit back against the singer after she broke her silence on her conservatorship - claiming it was a SET UP.

The pop sensation took to YouTube to post a 22-minute audio recording, where she accused her mother of conspiring with her dad Jamie to put her under the legal conservatorship.

Britney, 40, was freed from the legal bounds last year after 13 years of her father Jamie being in charge of personal, business and financial decisions for her.

Now, in an impromptu YouTube video that has since been made private, the Toxic singer accused her parents of pre-meditating her hospitalisation in 2008 in order to take her millions.

The recording saw Britney claim that a woman had "introduced the idea to her" parents Lynne, 67, and Jamie, 70, prior to her hospitalisation under mental health reasons.

She went on to say that mum Lynne "helped him follow through" and "made it all happen" as she opened up about how a Swat team collected her from her home and held her down in an ambulance.

Britney claimed that she was forced to stay in a facility and after she was released home, people would watch her change and shower.

She said: "I literally spoke in a British accent to a doctor to prescribe my medication and three days later there was a Swat team at my home, three helicopters."

"There was no drugs in my system, no alcohol, nothing," she added before concluding the hospitalisation was "pre-meditated".

"All I do remember is I had to do what I was told," Britney went on. "They treated me like I was nothing.

"I was told I was fat every day, I had to go to the gym. I never remember feeling so demoralised and they made me feel like nothing.

"I went along with it because I was scared. I was scared and fearful. I didn’t really so anything and I had a Swat team – none of it made sense to me."

Following the shocking video, which was briefly shared with her 10million fans, fans rushed to social media to offer their support to the singer, as Britney took to Twitter to thank them.

Among the well-wishers was Britney's mum Lynne, who no longer has a relationship with her daughter after the conservatorship was ended in November 2021.

Lynne insisted that she had always had Britney's "best interests" at heart - and was heartbroken that the pair no longer speak.

“Britney, your whole life I have tried my best to support your dreams and wishes!” she wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of the pair.

“And also, I have tried my best to help you out of hardships! I have never and will never turn my back on you!

“Your rejections to the countless times I have flown out and calls make me feel hopeless! I have tried everything.

“I love you so much, but this talk is for you and me in private."

Earlier this year, Britney's mum Lynne was snubbed from her daughter's wedding to her long-term partner Sam Asghari.

Eagle-eyed fans spotted Lynne in the comments, seemingly trying to make nice with her daughter following a years-long contentious feud.

The Louisiana native's mother wrote: "You look radiant and so happy! Your wedding is the 'dream'. I am so happy for you. I love you."

Despite the drama with her mom and the rest of her family, Britney and Sam's wedding was an affair to remember.
