James Bond legend Sean Connery’s family hold secret send-off in Edinburgh to celebrate his life

SIR Sean Connery's family have held a secret send-off to celebrate the actor's life.
Micheline Roquebrune, 93, was joined by other family members at Dalmeny Estate near Edinburgh, the reported.
And arrived on the privately hired Royal Scotman train yesterday morning.
It is believed they have been scattering the James Bond star's ashes in his favourite spots across the country.
A source told the Record: "We understand Sir Sean’s ashes were scattered at various different points of importance to him in his life. It has all been building up to their final destination which was Edinburgh and Dalmeny yesterday.
"I thought it was brilliant to see the old-fashioned train and I felt like I was in some sort of movie scene.
"It was all so secretive because it’s all about Sir Sean’s final resting place."
It's understood that Connery's son Jason attended as well as Alex Salmond.
In October 2020, the James Bond legend died aged 90 in the Bahamas after he had been unwell for "some time".
Sir Sean, who played Bond between 1962-71, won a string of acting awards including an Oscar, two Bafta awards and three Golden Globes.

He was also knighted by the Queen in Holyrood Palace in 2000.
Connery landed his first role as 007 in 1962's 'Dr. No', which propelled him to international stardom.
His subsequent Bond films - including 'From Russia With Love' and 'Goldfinger' - are still regarded as some of the finest in the series.
A poll of over 14,000 fans found that 56 per cent of people believed Connery was the best Bond actor of all time.
Sir Sean's other films included The Hunt for Red October and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
His final film was The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen in 2003.
