Each of the Loose Women had taken part in an anonymous survey about their relationships.

Ruth Langsford revealed: "One Loose Woman doesn't think her partner loves her as much as she loves him, while two of the Loose Women said that they weren't sure."

Coleen decided to open up and said: "You know what? I'll hold my hand up here and say I was the one in that survey."

The 51-year-old pretended to tear up and joked: "Don't patronise me!" as guest panellist Penny Lancaster put a hand on her shoulder.

Ruth probed further, asking: "Is that because Ray's not very demonstrative?"

Coleen admitted: "The thing is, Ray's really shy and things like emotionally opening up he's very shy about and he feels self conscious about it."

She revealed that the only time she knows that her hubby "absolutely loves" her is when someone's hurt or upset her, adding: "He wants to kill people. And then I think 'Oh you know, he really does love me'."

Coleen said: "But does he say 'I love you' every day or leave me a little note? If he left me a little note I'd think he was up to something."

She added: "He's just not that type of person. So when people go, 'Does he love you as much as you love him?' I go 'I don't know actually'."

Meanwhile Ruth said that her husband Eamonn is "very gushy and flowery", adding: "I call him my Irish poet."
