Towie’s Yazmin Oukhellou flies off on holiday after crash that killed boyfriend Jake McLean

YAZMIN Oukhellou has jetted off on holiday after being involved in a car crash that killed Jake McLean.

The Towie star, 28, was spotted leaving for the getaway in the hopes of “taking her mind off everything that’s happened”, following the horror ordeal in Turkey.

Yazmin was seen dressed in black ahead of her flight at London Stansted Airport.

The reality star cut a casual look as she was spotted hugging her mother Lisa before taking off.

She was later seen making her way into the airport entrance with a gold suitcase in tow.

A source told The Sun: “Yaz has gone away with a best friend for a few days to try and take her mind off everything that’s happened.”

It comes after the reality star was left seriously injured following a horror car crash in Turkey.

At the time, Yaz desperately tried to wake 33-year-old Jake while attempting to honk the horn for attention, before breaking her own arm to escape the car and scrambling to get help.

Emergency crews rushed to the scene but sadly Jake couldn’t be saved.

Yazmin continued trying save her partner once the ambulance arrived, revealing: “They were helping me. I was like, ‘Please can you just help him’ and they were like, ‘We just need to take him to another hospital.'”

Jake was declared dead while she was raced to hospital.

Yaz had nodded off after partying with friends and woke to find their Mercedes plunging 70ft from a mountain road in Turkey.

She explained: “We were just tumbling for what seemed like forever. It felt like I was going round in a washing machine — just round and round. Then eventually it stopped and my right arm was jammed.

“The car was upside down. It had an open sunroof and my right arm was just stuck behind my back and under the folded back of the car roof.”

Yazmin did not know it at the time, but the crash had opened an artery.

She added: “I could just feel my arm absolutely covered in blood. It was like I was lying in a hot bath, there was so much around me.

“At the same time I was trying to wake up Jake. In my head I told myself, ‘OK, he’s just unconscious, I’m alive so he must be alive’. I didn’t want to admit it to myself that he could be dead.”

Yazmin continued: “I somehow snapped my arm through pure adrenaline and panic. I climbed out of the car, and I was kind of holding my arm together with my left hand.

“I ran up to the top of the bank, I was screaming for help.”

Yazmin, 28, left Essex for Dubai to live with Jake around a year after they got together.

She moved on with him around a month after her split from fellow Towie star James Lock.

The couple confirmed their relationship in December last year with loved-up snaps from a romantic night out in Dubai.

However, in January she revealed they had split in an Instagram post and was recently rumoured to have reconciled with James after they enjoyed a lunch date in Essex.
