Accuses 35-year-old former IT recruitment consultant of stealing and violating his 2009 hit I Say Britain
BRITAIN'S Got Talent star DJ Talent has slammed X Factor star Honey G for "violating" his act - and leaving him feeling "depressed, insulted and offended".
The metal-mouthed DJ, who shot to fame on the 2009 series of the ITV talent show, is furious that Honey - real name Anna Gilford - has ripped off the hook of his catchy rap, I Say Britain.
In a direct message to Honey G shared via The Sun online, he slams her for being disrespectful - and accuses her of being a "con, a fake and a phony".
"You have cussed me and disrespected me on national television.
"Honey G has stolen the lyrics from my work. You have ripped off my chorus and my hook."
He argues that his one verse rhyme, 'When I saw Britain, You say Talent, Britain's Got Talent it's the DJ Talent', is startlingly similar to the X Factor star's 'I say Honey, You say G' battle cry.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun online, he fumed: "I wrote that track from my heart.
"It was for the people of Great Britain and the nation.
"It's been on telly for 16 million people, it's been played in Wembley Arena. It's been all over newspapers.
"What she's done is use my catchphrase to big herself up and I don't think it's fair.
"I'm the artist! I wrote the song and I produced the record, I made a track out of this and this is a published piece of music.
"She's getting publicity for using my work."
And DJ Talent - whose comments could kickstart the biggest feud in hip hop since Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G - doesn't stop there, taking aim at former IT recruitment consultant Honey's character.
But it's not only the Peterborough-born talent favourite she needs to worry about, he's cited some big names in his war with Honey G.
He raged: "My song has been violated by Honey G - and I find her a bit rude and obnoxious.
"I don't think she's doing herself any favours with her attitude. It's too egotistical, you need to be on a level.
"At the end of the day you've got Andi Peters singing 'I say Britain', and you're nicking the hookline of my record... then there's problems."
DJ Talent also dismisses ideas that Honey G is an artist, instead dismissing her as just a rip-off merchant.
He said: "I think there's something wrong here.
"To be called an artist you have to producing records you have to be making music, you have to have your music published and licensed.
"This is just ripping something off and put it on TV.
But there will be no royalty check for DJ Talent, although he added he hasn't ruled out calling up old pal Simon Cowell to put a stop to Honey G's blatant disregard for his intellectual property.
He added: "If she was respectful and said her act came from DJ Talent it wouldn't matter but she's not done that and I think it is rude and offensive.
"There's nothing illegal about it at the moment as unless you've licensed and published a record there's nothing that can be done.
"Unless Honey G records and releases a record there's nothing we can do until then."
But rather than challenge Honey G to a rap battle and settle this beef the old fashioned way, DJ Talent will just have to sit back and watch his rival go from strength to strength off the back of HIS work - and it won't be easy.
He said: "I feel very depressed and insulted and offended by what she's done."
A rep for Honey G has been approached for comment.
